Digital Print Prepress Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer-supplied artwork for digital print production.
• Review files for accuracy, printability, and production requirements.
• Preflight PDFs and other print-ready files.
• Perform imposition, bleed, trim, and colour verification.
• Make minor artwork edits and corrections as required.
• Troubleshoot file issues and communicate with customer service or clients when necessary.
• Operate and manage digital print workflows.
• Ensure all jobs meet quality standards before going to production.
• Prioritize multiple jobs while meeting tight production deadlines.
• Maintain organized digital files and production records.

Qualifications

• 
  
• Strong understanding of digital print workflows and file preparation.
• Proficiency with:
• Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Adobe InDesign
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• Experience with PDF preflighting and imposition software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Assets

The following would be considered strong assets:

• Knowledge of offset printing processes and prepress requirements.
• Experience with variable data printing (VDP).
• Familiarity with Quite Imposing
• Understanding of colour management and ICC profiles. #AES3#
