Metal Finisher

Position details:

Perform metal finishing operations including grinding, sanding and polishing to achieve specified surface quality. Inspect finished parts against drawings and quality standards, operate hand and power tools, maintain equipment and work areas, follow safety and PPE protocols, collaborate with the production team to meet targets, and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Must have skills and experience:

• Experience with grinding, sanding and polishing metal components
• Knowledge of metal types, especially cold rolled steel and aluminum
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient use of hand and power finishing tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
• Endurance to stand for long periods and ability to lift heavy materials safely
• Basic math skills for counting and time tracking
• Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE use
• Good hand eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Willingness to support other shop areas and perform product assembly
• Teamwork and collaboration skills
